Ukrainian delegation visits leading industrial enterprises of South Korea.

As part of the Ukrainian delegation’s working visit to the Republic of Korea, representatives of four Ukrainian universities, including the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, had the opportunity to visit the country’s largest industrial companies, which are world leaders in their respective fields. The visit was aimed at familiarizing themselves with advanced technologies, production processes, and prospects for cooperation.

  • HD Hyundai (Hyundai Heavy Industries) is a shipbuilding giant The Ukrainian delegation visited the shipyards of HD Hyundai, one of the largest shipbuilding companies in the world. The company specializes in the construction of seagoing vessels, including tankers, container ships, gas carriers and warships. HD Hyundai Shipyards is a true example of technological development, where innovative solutions are actively used to improve production efficiency. The company is also actively working on the development of environmental technologies in shipbuilding. Special attention was paid to Hyundai’s R&D centers, where work is underway on the latest shipbuilding projects, including the use of alternative energy sources for ships.

  • Posco International – metallurgy, agriculture and logistics The Ukrainian delegation visited the headquarters of Posco International, a key player in the metallurgy and logistics sector. Of particular interest was the company’s agricultural business and grain storage division. It is worth noting that Posco has elevators in Mykolaiv region, which makes the company an important partner of Ukraine in agriculture and exports. Posco’s logistics capabilities and prospects for further cooperation in infrastructure projects were also presented.

  • Doosan Company – Nuclear Technologies of the Future Another important point of the visit program was a visit to Doosan Company, a leading manufacturer of nuclear reactors. The company develops and manufactures advanced solutions in the field of nuclear energy, which is relevant for Ukraine in the context of energy security and infrastructure restoration. The delegation had the opportunity to get acquainted with Doosan’s R&D centers, where new types of nuclear reactors are being developed, including modular solutions that can become part of Ukraine’s future energy strategy.

For Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, cooperation with these companies is extremely important and promising. The introduction of advanced shipbuilding technologies, integration of students and teachers into international research projects, and the possibility of internships at such enterprises opens up new horizons for the university and Ukrainian industry in general.

The visit to the leading Korean companies opened up new opportunities for international cooperation in shipbuilding, metallurgy, logistics, agricultural business, and nuclear energy. Ukrainian universities and enterprises have great potential to develop partnerships with Korean companies, which will contribute to the recovery and modernization of Ukraine’s economy.
