Meeting with colleagues from Aalborg University in Kraków

Representatives from Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding held their first in-person coordination meeting with colleagues from Aalborg University in Kraków, focused on developing cooperation in the field of energy planning.

The meeting was attended by leading researchers and experts from both universities, including Professors Poul Alberg Østergaard and Henrik Lund (AAU), as well as representatives from NUOS — Oleksandr Tur, Dmytro Zhuk, and Heorhii Rogov.

Key outcomes of the meeting:

▪️ Discussed modern approaches to energy system modeling and the use of GIS tools in planning

▪️ Analyzed current trends in the development of Ukraine’s energy market and the challenges posed by wartime

▪️ A framework for a joint energy planning project for the Mykolaiv region was defined

▪️ Approaches to data collection, scenario analysis, and economic assessment of power systems were agreed upon

▪️ Opportunities for academic mobility and research visits to AAU were outlined

▪️ Prospects for joint supervision of PhD research were discussed

▪️ Agreed to hold guest lectures and training sessions for NUOS faculty

▪️ Considered the integration of AAU courses into NUOS educational programs
