Psychology Faculty / Institute: Educational and Scientific Humanities Institute Department: Social and humanitarian disciplines RESEARCH ACTIVITIES A good tradition of the department is the annual holding of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Methodological Conference "Mykolaiv and the Northern Black Sea Region: History and Modernity" (moderator - associate professor OV Bobin), the international scientific and methodological seminar "Ukraine and Belarus: History and Modernity" (organizer - Associate Professor MA Fedorenko), All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of Social Sciences and Humanities" (organizer - Associate Professor KG Tribulkevich). The department of social and humanitarian disciplines publishes the scientific publications "Humanitarian Bulletin of the NUS" (responsible - OV Bobin), the collection of materials of the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference "Problems of the social and humanitarian sciences" (responsible - KG Tribulkevich), and the collections of scientific materials - methodical seminars and conferences in electronic form. Teachers of the department actively participate in all-Ukrainian and international conferences, issue educational manuals, guidelines and monographs. In particular, the monograph of Professor Ya. V. Vasiliev "Psychologicalities in MA Bulgakov's novel" Master and Margarita "(futurrealistic approach)", widely known in Germany, not only in Ukraine but also abroad. Young teachers are actively engaged in scientific and methodical work. Teacher AV Tkachenko participates in competitions of scientific works of young scientists, creative competitions. So, in 2018, AV Tkachenko won the grand prize at the All-Ukrainian competition for psychological film analytics “The Look”. A. Yu. Kravchuk and AS S. Sonechko are the organizers of the activity of the scientific group "Youth in Politics", headed by Associate Professor IV Shapovalov. The result of the work of the cell was such vivid events as the "Election of the President of the Land of Dreams", numerous discussion sessions of the political science round table. Teacher IV Korostilev is a prominent practitioner psychologist who successfully conducts classroom and extracurricular activities, such as student film club meetings, psychological trainings with teachers and students. Associate Professor LV Matviyenko provides guidance to students' intellectual activity, as evidenced by brain rings, field trips to the Wild Garden site. The efforts of the department in 2019 licensed the specialty "Psychology" in response to the urgent need for specialists who will be able to provide qualified psychological assistance to ATO-OOS participants, military, in the conditions of production, closed teams. The work of the psychological service of the university was initiated. Head of the department, Dr. ped. KG Tribulkevich and associate professor of the department OV Bobin provide teaching in English. The actual tasks of the psychological and pedagogical research of the department are: attitude and development of student self-government; formation of the humanistic ideal of students; higher education in the context of European integration; promoting students' personal development; professional self-determination of personality; adaptation of combatants to a peaceful life; formation of adequate self-esteem, self-confidence, self-education and self-development needs; developing in-person partnership communication skills; time management; psychological and sociological research; use of stimulus test in psychological research; the potential of polygraph use in psychological research; personality psychology; futurology. In the field of historical sciences, research is conducted in the following areas: revolutions and social movements in Ukraine and in the world; source studies; activity of churches and church-historical and archeological societies in Ukraine and Belarus; ethnography, cultural studies; study of steppe Pobuzhye. Political and sociological studies cover the following areas: political imageology; morality as a public institute; political security; local governments. Educational, methodical and scientific activity of the teachers of the department is carried out at a high level and meets the licensing conditions.
