073. Management Faculty / Institute: Department: Marine Logistics The NUS Department of Marine Logistics was established in 2013. Holds a license of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (protocol № 117 of 30.06.2015, order № 1683l of 03.07.2015) and accreditation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (protocol №124 of 02.03.2017, order № 178a of 03/14/2017). Logistics belongs to the field of management and administration knowledge. The sphere of professional activity of graduates of the educational and professional program "Logistics" includes: management of material, information, financial flows of enterprises, military units, state and public institutions. The department produces professional logistics managers who are able to find optimal solutions for various business processes (production, supply, warehousing, distribution, transportation, etc.). Graduates will gain knowledge and ability to use the tools to develop technology for managing and controlling logistics flows. Logistics specialists occupy leading positions in enterprises and institutions, which are related to the supply, distribution, movement of resources and finished goods to the end consumer. The lecturers of the department are highly qualified specialists with extensive experience in solving scientific and technological issues. Success in this field requires knowledge of logistics concepts, methods and technologies, as well as logistical thinking. Today, logistics is an independent business in the world with thousands of employees. Graduates of the Department of Maritime Logistics receive quality education and professional skills. They successfully work in both domestic and international companies. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS Logistics RESEARCH ACTIVITIES The research work of the department is related to solving the following problems: - integration processes on water transport; - commercial work on water transport; - theoretical and applied problems of logistics; transport logistics (development of new technologies for the transportation of offshore containers along linear routes by means of offshore docks.) - logistics of transport and storage complexes (development of new technologies and devices for storage of containers in water areas - underwater warehouses, underwater oil and gas storage); - Feasibility study for the creation of logistics centers.
