123. Computer Engineering Faculty / Institute: Department: Department of marine instrumentation The information technology arsenal is computer systems, which in the modern sense represent the unity of hardware and software that complement each other. The term "Computer Engineering" is used to refer to a comprehensive scientific and technical area that covers the theoretical foundations and technology of development, design, implementation, upgrade, support of system software and hardware of modern computers and computer systems. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS Computer systems and networks Computer engineering is based on the relevant mathematical and physical principles of computer construction, organization of computing processes, theory of computer systems and networks, theory of design and construction of hardware, software and information systems and technology of development of hardware and software, computer systems and networks. Computer engineering requires a broad and, at the same time, deep mathematical and technical training of its specialists. The following sections of mathematics and technology are of particular importance: discrete mathematics, applied theory of digital automatons, system programming (assembler level), probability theory and mathematical statistics, algorithms and methods of calculation, theory of diagnostics of hardware and software, parallel and distributed theories and calculations hardware and software failover, organization and architecture of processors and systems, multiprocessor systems, theory of operating systems, information systems, computer and networking, computer aided design, hardware and software. The main difference between "Computer Engineering" and "Computer Science" is that "... engineering" deals mainly with internal, with respect to the computer or computer system, problems (ie, "as arranged and do computers and computer systems work? "). At the same time, "... sciences" is mainly concerned with the use of computers or computer systems to create information technology or to solve problems in other subject areas. FUTURE PROFESSIONS Programmer Webmaster Task Analyst Computer systems analyst Computer Network Administrator System Engineer System programmer System integrator System administrator Computer graphics engineer Computer Maintenance Engineer Designer of computer systems and networks Designer of computer systems EMPLOYMENT Graduates of the specialty are professionals who are able to develop modern software, microprocessor and embedded microcontroller systems, create and use databases and Big Data technologies, use modern technologies for designing intelligent systems and robotics. Graduates possess computer-aided design systems and networks, state-of-the-art mathematical modeling methods, programming languages, fully meet the requirements of employers in IT technology and will find their worthy place in relevant clusters.
