Aviation and space rocket technology Faculty / Institute: Shipbuilding Research Institute Department: Design and production of structures made of composite materials The preparation of bachelors (masters) in the specialty "Design and manufacture of structures from composite materials" combines the knowledge, skills and skills of the two main areas of technological progress - computer technology and advanced materials. Composers are able to design and build structures for airplanes and propellers, boats and yachts, wind turbine blades and industrial fans. Without them, there is no single industry in the introduction to the production of a variety of products - from tennis rackets to space rockets. The first skills of scientific work students get when completing course projects and works, undergraduates perform real diploma projects and master's works (on orders of enterprises of scientific institutions and design bureaus). Under the guidance of experienced scientists of the department students take part in: international scientific-technical conferences, All-Ukrainian scientific works and competitions. Thus, students Matyukhin OV (2016) and Kolegov MS (2017) took second place in the final stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Aviation and Rocket and Space Technology, Kharkiv. Scientific development of Kobernik VS In 2016, the Antifouling Cover for Ship Hulls was ranked second in the All-Ukrainian Competition in the Shipbuilding and Water Transport Sector. The best students of the department receive nominal scholarships. Thus, the scholarship of the NUS Council was awarded to Mavrodiy TV (2016), I. Kutianina. in (2017), the Aleksandrov M.S. - Klyushnova Ya.S. (2016)., The scholarship of the mayor of the 2nd year student of Vasilyeva AG (2018). Departments annually take part in the all-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works which is carried out in ours at our university. Students' scientific papers are published in the proceedings of the conferences (10 publications in the last 5 years) and some in the NUS (2 articles). The department prepares among the resourceful and resourceful students of scientific specialists of the third level of accreditation (PhD). FUTURE PROFESSIONS Design engineer Engineer-technologist Mechanical engineer EMPLOYMENT Heads of state and private enterprises in the design and manufacture of aviation and marine equipment, agricultural machinery, wind turbine blades, sports and medical equipment, etc. are interested in graduating in the specialty. It is not only domestic but also foreign firms and their branches in Ukraine that manufacture products using modern KM. Due to the versatility of the profession, the high level of knowledge, graduates are willing to accept design and production companies that do not use composite materials. Knowledge of polymeric composite materials, together with the acquired knowledge in the field of organizational and economic activity, allow graduates to create and lead small industrial enterprises.
